In this "how-to" tutorial, we will show you how to apply the XIP eyeshadow collection in order to create a really easy natural looking smokey eye.

Note: The XIP Opal Black Mascara in this video (1:26) is not available anymore. We have developed a new water-resistant formula!

  1. First select a paler shade of your choice. Apply to the lid, brow bone and inner corner of the eye.
  2. Next, we are going to select a deeper shimmer shade to apply to the lids. Select a deep matt shade to apply to the inner crease and the outer corner of the eye. Make sure you continue to blend with the brush to soften the colour.
  3. With a fine angled brush, apply a dark shade along the upper lash line. Make sure to clean the brush and then apply a paler shade of your choice and run it halfway across the lower lash line.
  4. Select a deeper shade and run along the outer corner of the lash line and smudge well with the brush.
  5. Repeat the same steps on the other eye.

  1. To add a rosy glow, to the face, smile, and apply the matt pink blusher to the apples of your cheeks. Blending well upwards towards the ears.

  2. Choose an eyebrow stencil that works best with the natural shape of your brows. Hold the stencil over your natural brow hairs and hold firmly in place.
  3. Using the brush, mix your chosen eyebrow shade with a small amount of wax and sweep along the inside of the stencil, mimicking the look of natural hairs.
  4. Fill in any empty space within the stencil. You can build up the colour as required.
  5. Then simply peel away the stencil to reveal a professional-looking brow.
  6. Reverse the stencil and repeat the same steps on the other brow.
  7. Remove excess powder from the brow to give it a more natural look. You can use the spolie brush for this.
  8. Apply the highlighter to the brow bone to add definition. (optional) You can also use the powders as eyeshadows.
  9. Select the paler shade to use at the inner corner of the eyelid and a darker shade to the outer corner and the eyelid crease.

  1. Apply the light highlighting shade of your choice. Begin at the centre of your forehead with three brush strokes. Start in between your eyebrows and move the brush upwards. Ensure the highlighting shape is blended perfectly. 
  2. Start with the brush under your eye and sweep towards the upper corner across your cheekbone. Ensure the highlighting shade is blended seamlessly.
  3. Highlight the bridge of the nose to lighten the face. Apply the light shade in the centre of your nose moving the brush up from just the tip of the nose towards the middle of your eyes and blend.
  4. Highlight the centre of your chin. 
  5. Highlight the brow bone to lift and define the eye area.
  6. Finally, highlight the creases that create shadows on the face such as the in the nasal fold area and around the nose.
  7. Now to contour the face apply a dark shade of your choice. To make your forehead appear smaller and add warmth to the face, apply the dark shade around the hairline. You must ensure this is blended perfectly. 
  8. Apply the dark shade of your choice above the temple to add depth to the face.
  9. To strengthen your bone structure apply the dark shade to the hollows of your cheeks blending upwards towards the ear. Use the sculpting brush to blend well.
  10. To add definition and slim the face, contour under the jawline by applying the dark shade on the bottom of your chin. Blend in well for a flawless finish.
  11. (optional) If you want to narrow the appearance of the nose, apply the dark shade on the sides of the nose and also apply to the tip.
  12. (optional) To create the illusion of a plumper lip, add a small amount of the darker shade just under your bottom lip.
